    President and Co-Owner, Mike Brochu Jr.

    With 25 years of experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, boating and project management, Mike Brochu Jr. takes pride running a high quality, efficient shop at Broward Armature and Generator. “Jr.” has always enjoyed working with engines. His college studies were in electrical engineering, and for 10 years he successfully managed engineering, sales and field support at innovative biomedical systems development companies like NPE Systems and Blue Ocean Biomedical.

    Jr.’s engineering background gives him valued skills for managing Broward Armature and Generator. His passion results in providing high performance, tested and quality products to customers. He does so by contributing the skills and experience developed with International Standards Organization (ISO) Quality Management Systems and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to prevent problems “by doing it right the first time”. He closely analyzes the entire process of customer care, from your incoming contact with the company to your complete satisfaction with the products and services. With “Jr.” on the team, you can rest assured you’re in good hands.

    CEO and Co-Owner, Mike Brochu Sr.

    Mike Sr. has been active in the South Florida boating world for some 35 years, so he knows the yachting and boating communities and its needs for a reliable, quality source for rebuilt and rewound marine generators and motors. This first-hand knowledge resulted in Mike and his son, Mike Jr., becoming the new owners and managers of a marine repair shop that offers just that: Broward Armature and Generator. They have put together a staff of pros with all the experience and equipment needed to rebuild and rewind all types of generators, AC & DC motors, bow thrusters PUMPS, and more, from fractional to 1000 KW & 1000 HP within a quality environment.

    Mike Sr. comes into this industry with a solid background in senior executive management in a major health care corporation, as well as two medical startup companies. Over his career, Mike has gained rich experience in developing, manufacturing and providing support for quality products within quality systems.

  • Director of Quality, Andrew Hardie

    Director of Quality, Andrew Hardie

    At Broward Armature, Quality is a core value. Andrew Hardie was added to the team to help develop and refine the company’s quality control systems. The company’s focus on quality is their route to complete customer satisfaction, higher reliability and profitability.

    Andrew Hardie is a quality assurance professional with 25 years experience in the Biomedical Quality field, where standards for quality are at the highest. Andrew is well versed in managing quality systems and CAPA systems (Corrective Action and Preventative Actions), and the use of Six Sigma tools in improving product quality.

    He has a broad knowledge of specialized software used for data analysis and statistical process control. These are used to provide a methodical, process-based approach to conducting corrective actions and preventive actions, which ultimately lead to higher product quality and improved productivity. He has experience in developing quality work processes and in authoring instrument set-up, optimization and final test procedures in a manufacturing and product development environment. He has also responded to and managed the resolution of customer complaints. Andrew’s qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Physics and Chemistry, Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Auditor, Black Belt Lean Six Sigma training, and ISO and GMP training.

  • Office Manager, Lil Andrews

    Office Manager, Lil Andrews

    The Broward Armature team count on Lil Andrews to keep everything in the office running smoothly. As office manager, Lil handles client contracts, records, billing and receiving, payroll, personnel and all internal accounting. She also shares in handling calls and providing great customer support. Lil earned her degree from Florida International University (FIU) with a major in Information Technology, and a minor in Business; skills she puts to work daily at Broward Armature. As an example, she is very proficient with Quick Books Professional, Peach Tree "Sage 50" and other productivity software.

    Lil’s contributions to the team are too many to cover in a brief bio, but certainly add greatly to the productivity and professionalism of Broward Armature’s front office and customer support.
